Too Many Men Are Going Through The Motions In Life Without Any Intentionality
This Life-On-Repeat is Destructive, not only to us as Men, but to all of those We Care About as they receive less than what We Truly Have to Offer and can see the Quiet Desparation in our eyes.
Fathers today are plagued by Guilt, Shame, and Feelings of Inadequacy as a Husband, Father, Employee or Business Owner, or Friend due to Lack of Time, Exhaustion, or the Lack of Energy to Perform at 100% in Every Area of Life.
The Constant and Incessant Barage of Images or Videos of the very best parts of other people's lives on Social Media serve only to Compound these feelings. For Many of Us this also Leads to Isolation as we Avoid Confronting the idea that We Are Less Capable than Other Men.
As Men we learn to Hide our Emotions and just keep Pushing Forward. We Struggle with the Belief that we aren't Working Hard Enough, while knowing that We Have Nothing More to Give. But if Our Families are Only Receiving a Fraction of The Man We Were Created to Be, are we Truly Hiding Anything?
What if The True Answer is that We Are Doing It Wrong? Fatherhood, Marriage, and Life didn't come with a Playbook or Instructions. We Know that There Has To Be A Better Way, but Where Do We Find It?
God did not Call Us To Fatherhood with the Expectation that we would Constantly Feel Like We Are Doing It Wrong! We Must Remember that God Doesn't Call The Qualified...He Qualifies The Called!
And This Is Where We Must Begin...Today...with the Understanding that Fatherhood Is A Calling From God. In Fact, Fatherhood is one of The Highest Callings from God that exists!
What we Truly Lack is Not Time or Energy. It is a Sense of Calling. It is the Understanding that As Fathers We Are On An Adventure, Shaping And Forming Not Only Our Children, But also Ourselves into Greater Versions Constantly Seeking Excellence in our lives.
Building upon that Understanding that In Fatherhood We Are Fulfilling Our Mission from God, The First Objective Is Intentionality In Everything We Do.
There Are Clearly Defined Steps To Creating An Intentional Life. Once we have Explored these in Each Area of Our Lives, We are able to Create The Life and Relationships We Truly Want, and Which We Were Put On This Earth To Live.
Through Consistency and Discipline, and by Living in Alignment with the Apogee Code of Integrity, Honor, Bravery, Compassion, Politeness, Honesty, and Loyalty; we are Able To Constantly Evaluate Each Day and to Pivot and Adapt When Necessary to Ensure Continuous Intentional Progress.
As Fathers We Were Built For Greatness. That Looks Different For Each of Us, but the Feeling of Fulfillment is the Same when We Become Who We Are Meant To Become, and Live The Life God Created Us To Live.
Fear is a Necessary part of Bravery. Failure is a Necessary part of Success. Inentionality is a Necessary part of Greatness. The First Step is a Necessary part of Every Journey.
